ELASTIC GEL FOR WATERPROOFING INJECTIONS AND SOIL CONSOLIDATION IN UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES : TUNNELS, PARKING, TANKS, HISTORICAL BUILDINGS ETC.

Water seepages in underground structures, a very common situation both in new constructions and old ones, has been for a long time an hard -to-solve problem in building industry due to the quite different site conditions and operative needs.

Development and use of water based new formulation acrylic resins, may now offer a suitable and feasible solution for a wide range of site such as:

  • Tunnels (lined with precast elements or cast in situ concrete)
  • Underground parking
  • Foundation walls and floors
  • Tanks and reservoirs
  • Dams
  • Sewage plants

Water based acrylic resin DRACOGEL GT2 manifactured by Draco Italiana S.P.A. Tribiano (Mi) present the following advantages:

  • Non toxic product both for manpower and for the environment
  • Mono-phase product with higher permeability characteristics than bi-phase products such as water dispersion and microfine
    cements
  • The product may be diluted with water in different ratios according to site conditions
  • Possibility to modify the product's setting time in order to optimise cracks filling and soil impregnation
  • Final product with a rubber - gel consistency able to withstand structure's vibrations coming from road/rail traffic, working equipments etc.
  • Application by the use of lightweight equipment
