Water seepages
in underground structures, a very common situation both
in new constructions and old ones, has been for a long
time an hard -to-solve problem in building industry
due to the quite different site conditions and operative
needs.
Development and use of water based new formulation
acrylic resins, may now offer a suitable and feasible
solution for a wide range of site such as:
- Tunnels (lined with precast elements or cast in
situ concrete)
- Underground parking
- Foundation walls and floors
- Tanks and reservoirs
- Dams
- Sewage plants
Water based acrylic resin DRACOGEL GT2 manifactured
by Draco Italiana S.P.A. Tribiano (Mi) present the following
advantages:
- Non toxic product both for manpower and for the
environment
- Mono-phase product with higher permeability characteristics
than bi-phase products such as water dispersion and
microfine
cements
- The product may be diluted with water in different
ratios according to site conditions
- Possibility to modify the product's setting time
in order to optimise cracks filling and soil impregnation
- Final product with a rubber - gel consistency able
to withstand structure's vibrations coming from road/rail
traffic, working equipments etc.
- Application by the use of lightweight equipment
